Chievo Verona vs Napoli

Match Date: November 5, 2017 | Daniel Beaver

30 euros for a ticket, 4 euros for a beer. Played in a concrete relic from Italia 90, not many Chievo fans as they are a relatively small club, but the small amount of Napoli fans there really generated some atmosphere.

The dodgy fascist eagle below is from Hellas Verona, a notoriously right wing club, not Chievo.

Final result – an entertaining 0-0

On a sunny Easter Monday we ventured down to Bad Tölz about an hour to the south of Munich on the fantastic Bob train. Although it was a Kreisliga A game (10th tier), the thrill of an action-packed Bad Tölz derby lured us down. The ground is situated by the river Isar which …

ND Ilirija 1911 v Nafta

December 29, 2018 | Daniel Beaver

On a trip to Ljubljana I checked the local teams, and it just so happened ND Ilirija 1911 were at home the weekend I was there. They play in Slovenia's second division the 2. Slovenska Nogometna Liga or simply 2. SNL. The stadium was about 4km from the centre, and it was a bit …

SV Pullach v TSV Schwaben Augsburg

October 13, 2018 | Daniel Beaver

A trip to Pullach, famous for being the old home of the BND (German secret service) amongst other things for a Bayernliga Süd game. We got the local suburban train to Pullach, an affluent village just outside of Munich. A very short walk on a very sunny day took us to the SV …
