First game of the new season for Indieliga!
1860 played their first professional league game in their home, the Grünwalder Stadion, for 13 years. It’s been a long time in exile at the Allianz Arena. The sun was shining, and a real party atmosphere outside the ground, it was almost too hot!
After a couple of beers in a local communal area called Grünspitze near the stadium, we went towards the ground. There was a great atmosphere building, it was good to be back home! Even though it’s the German 3rd division, that didn’t seem to matter.
Inside the ground there was a real party atmosphere, although the heat was starting to get brutal.
The game was dominated by 1860, Lotte didn’t show anything. It’s too early in the season to decide if 1860 are great or Lotte are shit, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Four teams are relegated from the 3.Liga, so a mid table finish for 1860 after all the recent chaos is just fine.
The game finished 5-1 to 1860 München, a fantastic homecoming!
